Laura is a wonderful new asset for Water Bear Marketing and has already seen much success while working with us over the past month.
Enough with me singing her praises; we asked Laura to do some of the talking for herself. As always, it was a pleasure getting to learn more about one of our waterbears. Check it out below:
Q: What brought you to Water Bear Marketing? Why did you want to become a waterbear?
A: I had worked with Nate in a past life and thought he was always very straightforward and cared about doing the right thing for his clients. When he started on his own company, I kept tabs on Water Bear Marketing, watching all the great things they were doing for their clients. I finally decided to reach out to him and discussed all the great things going on here. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of the organization.
Q: How long have you been in the online advertising business?
A: I have been in the advertising business longer than Google Maps had been around. So, to be more specific, I just finished my 19th year.
Q: What excites you the most about digital marketing? Why have you spent almost 2 decades in the industry?
A: The really cool part about the Internet is that it is always changing and it keeps me on my toes. There are always new things happening, new products, the rules are always changing, and it feels really good to be able to actually help my customers. I really love working with my home service people like plumbers and HVAC.
Q: What drew you to focus on the plumbing and HVAC realm? Tell us a little bit about how you became an expert for these companies and what knowledge you have gained throughout the years.
A: I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, but I got along really well with plumbers and HVAC owners. I started learning a lot about the industry to the point where I know more about swamp coolers, SEER ratings, thermocouples, and how much the shoulder seasons play a factor in what to advertise and when, than I ever imagined I would. Now, I love my customers, and I couldn’t imagine working with many other types of businesses.
Q: What are you most excited about joining the Water Bear Marketing team for?
A: I like the dashboard and the transparency it brings to my customers; we are focused on helping our customers get the best ROI possible. I love that we are adding some new products in the upcoming month.
Q: How does it feel to be a part of a company where the CEO is a Cleveland Browns fan?
A: If he were a Ravens fan, I would have worked for a different company (Go Steelers!).
“I am ecstatic that Laura has joined us at Water Bear Marketing. Not only does she have a witty sense of humor and fits right in, she has drive and ambition, and believes in doing what is right for the customer while providing full transparency to her customers for their ROI”, Nate Louis, CEO.
Please join us in welcoming Laura to the team. Welcome Laura Fisher!
